“Business Unusual” signifies our unwavering commitment to setting our sights over the horizon, reaching for visionary ideals and working restlessly to get there, against the tide and against all odds. This is the spirit in which we pursue our transformative, Business Unusual, mission: to educate visionary leaders of tomorrow who will act as agents of change and help shape the future business world by pushing forward the frontiers of knowledge related to the management of business organizations and making that knowledge relevant to practitioners.
We apply this principle to all the challenges facing business and society today, in Greece and beyond. In the face of economic, social, political and environmental crisis, we maintain the highest ethical and quality standards while seeking innovations that will transform everything else.
Business Unusual is the founding DNA of ALBA. A way of thinking and working in business, a way of living in society. We invite all those who share or wish to partake in this mentality to join us.

Athens successfully combines its rich ancient heritage with its contemporary modern way of life. The historical capital with a long history, dates back from the first settlement in the Neolithic age. Over the years, a multitude of conquerors occupied Athens, and erected unique, splendid monuments – a rare historical palimpsest. In 1834, it became the capital of the modern Greek state and in two centuries since it has become an attractive modern metropolis with unrivalled charm.

The heritage of the classical era is still evident in the city, represented by ancient monuments and works of art. The magnificent Acropolis, crowned by the iconic Parthenon temple, rises above the city, watching the sprawling modern metropolis evolve. One of the many significant change is in the historic center, virtually unrecognizable since cars were banished, with most significant ancient sites linked in what has become Europe’s longest and arguably most stunning pedestrian promenade. This huge archaeological park has reconciled past and present, with the city’s cultural and social life once again taking place around the ancient monuments and surrounding neighborhoods. Athens remains a city of contradictions, as frustrating as it is seductive. It is the oldest city in Europe, yet still in a state of transition. It’s one of Europe’s safest and liveliest cities – a heady mix of grunge and grace with an undeniable urban soul. The city center is actually very compact and is extremely easy to get around, due in no small part to the excellent metro and tram system.
